Social Impact

Because we care about the people and the environment.

Our Blue Mountain coffee is produced under banana, Inga, mango and many other shade trees and weed control is done by hand. This protects the soil and river basins from erosion.

We are aligned to an eco and bird-friendly philosophy. With our passion for environment care and sustainability, we have invested in many conservation measures such as installing a state of the art coffee pulpery, a solar system, an extensive water-recycling system, and using vermiculture methodology for pulp decomposition.

Community

We are fully integrated into the communities in which we operate, and take pride in excellent community and labour relations. We support smaller farmers throughout the Blue Mountains, with training and inputs to improve the quality and yields on their farms.

Our processing factory provides employment to over 500 ladies from the inner-city communities in downtown Kingston.

And we strongly believe in supporting Jamaican suppliers as far as possible, utilizing locally-grown ingredients, furniture, art, ceramics and other supplies.

Annual Scholarship Fund

The annual scholarship programme is one of the key ways the company invests in its people and their families. Through this initiative, Cafe Blue and Deli Works provides financial support for the upcoming academic year to students who have demonstrated strong academic performance, as well as to parents within the organization who have shown exceptional commitment, hard work, and dedication in their roles.
By maintaining this programme each year, Cafe Blue and Deli Works reinforces its commitment to education, opportunity, and the long term development of its community.
